Hyderabad: Most patients never see the whole picture of their own health. They move from one specialist to the next, one service to the next, with no one connecting the pieces. Dr. Asha Susan Thomas (PT), Founder, Director & CEO of Aegle Touch Services Pvt. Ltd., decided to change that.

An alumna of Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, Dr. Asha built her career in hospitals and healthcare organisations across India, Singapore and the Middle East. She holds a UK physiotherapy licence and is certified in Parkinson’s disease movement therapy through PWR Moves (USA). Years at the bedside and in the rehabilitation gym taught her what recovery really demands: coordination, consistency and care that follows a person well beyond a single appointment.

That lesson became a mission. She set out to bring medical consultations, rehabilitation, preventive healthcare and wellness together under one roof, and Aegle Touch Clinic in Nallagandla, Hyderabad, is the result.

From Healthcare Professional to Entrepreneurial Leader

Moving from physiotherapist to founder is a leap few healthcare professionals make. It demanded far more than clinical expertise: business leadership, organisational building and the discipline to make hard decisions while keeping patient care at the centre.

The road was not easy. Building the clinic meant meeting the daily demands of entrepreneurship while staying true to a vision, and Dr. Asha kept going, turning a professional aspiration into an operating enterprise.

Her journey also reflects a woman balancing professional ambition with her roles as a wife and mother. Dr. Asha’s story resonates with the many women professionals who hold the expertise to build enterprises of their own, and who are ready to do it.

“As a physiotherapist, I saw how often people moved between services without anyone looking at the whole picture,” says Dr. Asha. “I wanted to build a place where prevention, treatment and recovery happen together, with proper goal setting and appropriate outcome measures to validate progress.”

For her, entrepreneurship is not about building a business for its own sake. It is about creating a healthcare platform that grows with the community it serves and reaches far beyond a single clinic.

Aegle Touch: Advancing an Integrated Approach to Healthcare

Aegle Touch Clinic brings physiotherapy and rehabilitation, medical consultations, diagnostics, preventive healthcare and wellness programmes under one roof. Its wider portfolio includes diabetes care, women’s and children’s healthcare, home healthcare and corporate wellness services.

The philosophy is straightforward: healthcare should not begin and end with an illness or injury. Prevention, timely medical guidance, targeted rehabilitation and long-term wellbeing belong in one continuous journey. At Aegle Touch, care is built around clear goals set with each patient, and progress is measured with appropriate outcome measures, so recovery is demonstrated rather than assumed. Rooted in physiotherapy, Dr. Asha places movement, mobility and physical independence at the heart of this approach, with rehabilitation and prevention working alongside medical treatment.

A Vision for Expansion Across India

Dr. Asha’s ambition reaches well beyond a single clinic. Her long-term vision is to take Aegle Touch into other cities, building a multi-location healthcare enterprise offering physiotherapy, rehabilitation, medical consultations, preventive healthcare and wellness services.

At the heart of that growth is a community healthcare model: in-house Aegle Touch clinics placed within apartment communities, so that quality care is available to residents close to home. It is a proactive vision of health, built for individuals and families at every stage of life.

Growth of this kind depends on choosing the right markets, understanding local healthcare needs, building qualified teams and holding every location to the same standard of service. For Aegle Touch, expansion is a chance to bring its approach to more communities, with quality remaining central as the organisation grows.

Building a Healthcare Enterprise with Purpose

As Founder, Director & CEO, Dr. Asha is pursuing a vision that joins clinical experience with entrepreneurial leadership. From CMC Vellore and hospitals in India, Singapore and the Middle East to the founding of Aegle Touch, her journey reflects a determination to build an organisation around a larger healthcare mission.

Her story shows what women entrepreneurs can build when professional expertise meets a commitment to serving society. For Dr. Asha, the measure of success is simple: patients who understand their health, reach their goals and stay well long after the last appointment.

With a vision to expand beyond Hyderabad and establish Aegle Touch across multiple cities, Dr. Asha Susan Thomas is building a healthcare enterprise focused on quality services, rehabilitation, prevention and long-term wellbeing.
