Founded by serial growth leader Ankur Mukherjee and three-time founder Abhishek Mishra, Seasmasters aims to bridge the gap between technology education and business leadership.
New Delhi [India], October 19: Seasmasters Consulting has secured $5 million in funding to develop its next-generation technology business school, Supergrad, an initiative designed to equip technology professionals, engineers, and aspiring founders with the business acumen needed to build, scale, and lead successful companies.
The venture aims to address a growing gap in the education ecosystem: while India and the world produce a vast pool of technology talent, relatively few educational pathways systematically prepare technologists to become entrepreneurs, business leaders, and company builders.
With Supergrad, Seasmasters intends to create a new model of business education that combines technology, entrepreneurship, management, and hands-on business building. Its long-term ambition is to establish an entrepreneurship ecosystem that connects emerging founders, experienced operators, investors, and industry leaders across India and global markets.

Built by Entrepreneurs and Business Builders
Seasmasters Consulting is founded by Ankur Mukherjee, a business leader with more than 15 years of experience building and scaling businesses across EdTech, HealthTech, consumer businesses, and financial services, alongside co-founder Abhishek Mishra, a three-time founder.
Ankur has worked across leading education and technology ventures, including upGrad, Unacademy, Vedantu, Masters’ Union, Great Learning, Talentedge, and Amity University, among others. His experience spans business strategy, revenue growth, P&L leadership, new-venture creation, and the development of scalable business models.
Across his career, Mukherjee has helped scale monthly revenues from ₹80 lakh to ₹35 crore in 18 months, built new business verticals to ₹120 crore in annual recurring revenue in their first year, and contributed to growth strategy at a venture that raised $42 million in a Series C funding round.
At Amity University, he has been spearheading the development of an executive learning business, including executive MBA programs and specialized offerings for family-business leaders. His work has involved engagement with senior executives from organizations such as Morgan Stanley, Tata, and Google.
The founders bring complementary experience in entrepreneurship, venture building, business growth, and the challenges of translating technical expertise into commercially successful enterprises.
Addressing the Missing Link Between Technology and Business
The next generation of high-impact companies will increasingly emerge at the intersection of technology and business. Yet many technically skilled professionals enter the workforce with limited formal exposure to customer discovery, go-to-market strategy, sales, fundraising, financial management, and organizational scaling.
Supergrad aims to bridge this divide.
Rather than treating business education as a collection of theoretical management concepts, the initiative will focus on the practical capabilities required to build and scale companies. Its vision is to help technology students and professionals understand not only how to build products, but also how to identify markets, acquire customers, develop sustainable business models, raise capital, and lead organizations.
The broader ambition extends beyond classroom learning. Seasmasters aims to cultivate an entrepreneurship ecosystem in which learners can connect with founders, operators, investors, and mentors while developing the skills and networks required to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
Building an Entrepreneurship Ecosystem for India and Beyond
India has established itself as a major source of engineering talent and a rapidly expanding startup market. Seasmasters believes the next opportunity lies in helping more of this talent evolve into entrepreneurs and business leaders capable of creating globally competitive companies.
Through Supergrad, the company plans to build a platform that brings technology talent and business-building expertise together, with an emphasis on practical learning, entrepreneurial execution, and scalable growth.
Its long-term vision is to contribute to a new generation of founders who combine technical depth with commercial judgment and the ability to build enduring businesses.
With Supergrad, Seasmasters Consulting aims to move beyond conventional business education and help create an ecosystem where the next generation of technology talent learns to become the next generation of company builders.
